EBC 3GD Series Sport rotors are dimpled and slotted and precision-machined using premium-quality castings. Designed with wide-aperture scraper slots and blind-drilled holes, these 3GD rotors draw cooler air in and reduce temperatures for greatly reduced brake fade. Plus, their dimpling helps them to avoid stress cracks. Able to expel dirt, dust, and gases, EBC Sport rotors also maintain flat and parallel pad wear for better pad contact and better braking. These high performance rotors are available in a sporty silver corrosion resistance finish that not only looks great, but also prevents corrosion. Additional information: * Dimpled rotors were invented by EBC; often imitated because of its pad degassing without "through drilling" holes which promote rotor cracks * 3GD rotors passed European R90 brake safety tests and were shown to run 100 degrees F cooler than non-slotted rotors * Directional--the sweeping grooves and spotted pattern should point to the rear of the vehicle * All slotted rotors increase in air noise as the rotor passes beneath the pads under normal driving and braking; EBC's sister USR Sport rotor range is much quieter yet offers similar performance * Solid rotors are also available for some vehicle makes and models

| Market Description | All EBC rotors are made from OE spec grey cast iron, exactly as used on new car production and as many as we have tools for are BRITISH MADE wholly in our own UK foundry. Currently EVERY SINGLE ROTOR sold in Europe and the UK is BRITISH MADE and a majority of the designs specific to the USA are also BRITISH made.The British foundry is constantly expanding its in house tooled range but EBC like every brake manufacturer ....does need occasionally to buy some rotors in from approved sources to complete ranges in overseas markets. None of our competitors will ever tell you where their rotors come from and we at EBC are as disappointed as the rest of the world that cost pressure means there is not ONE foundry left in the USA to supply such parts, other brake brands when asked about origin will just sidestep the question. When we do buy rotors in, they are specified, sampled, tested for element analysis, grain structure, tensile strength, hardness and optimum ductility and tested 100 piece by piece to be perfect for runout on this in house machine. |
