The Radium fuel pump hanger allows the use of 1 or 2 aftermarket pumps in the stock fuel tank. This item is NOT a fuel surge tank. The Radium fuel pump hanger has been designed and optimized for use with high horsepower systems. AN fittings allow the use of afermarket high flow hose and the venturi jet pump is specially designed for high flow applications.
*This application requires Radium 20-0350 Fuel Level Sender Adapter, Denso.
The machined assembly mounts in the factory fuel tank using the OEM hold-down flange and gasket. The OEM fuel level sender and temperature sensor (if equipped) are retained. Four -6AN male fittings (2 pump outlets, 1 return, 1 crossover) simplify plumbing with aftermarket -AN hose.
The custom designed stainless electrical studs easily handles the high current demand that compact bulkhead connectors lack. These serviceable connections are properly sealed and impervious to all standard and exotic fuels. The low profile design keeps all wiring tucked nicely underneath the OEM cover plate. Nylon acorn nuts are provided to prevent any accidental short circuits. Furthermore, the high quality in-tank wiring is insulated with chemically resistant PTFE.
Stainless steel crimp-on ring terminals and heat shrink are provided for external wiring connections.
The kit includes a venturi jet pump with a new integrated pressure relief valve. Without a properly designed jet pump, fuel cannot be properly transferred from the passive side of the OEM saddle bag fuel tank to the active side where the pump(s) reside. When fuel pump flow is increased, the OEM jet pump becomes too restrictive creating unwanted backpressure in the FPR return line causing excessive fuel rail pressure.
The kit also includes an anodized aluminum collector box which improves the fuel supply around the pump(s) inlet. There is a 1" check valve incorporated on the front side of the tank that serves as a trap door keeping the pump(s) supplied with fuel during aggressive driving. Furthermore, all returning fuel from the pressure regulator return and the crossover hose enter the collector box through a one-way duckbill valve keeping it full. The duckbill valve prevents back flow and reduces noise from fuel spray. The collector box also permits a mounting solution for the OEM fuel level sender. This new revision simplifies installation and permits the hanger to be simply dropped into the tank in 1-piece.
Single pump applications can reuse the OEM fuel pump controller wiring, but it is recommended to upgrade the OEM wiring as high flow fuel pumps draw additional current requiring larger gauge wire. Fuel pump wiring kits can be purchased HERE. Select qty1 for single pump applications and qty2 for dual pump applications.
Configuration Notes:
1. There will be enough components included with this option to use 1 or 2 fuel pumps. Depending on the setup, some parts will simply not be used.
2. A pliable fuel pump filter sock must be used for proper fitment.
Next, select the type of pumps that will be used so the appropriate internal wiring connectors will be included in the kit. If pumps are needed, the kit will come preassembled and 65 micron sock filters will be installed on all fuel pumps.
Note: This kit eliminates the OEM hanger's "post" fuel pump filter. A low micron aftermarket fuel filter should be installed downstream to protect the injectors from debris.
